The Lab Pizza is a new and revolutionary company based in London which manufactures “healthy” pizzas for the public. Established in September 2012, The Lab Pizza has successfully created pizzas that are remarkably lower in fat, carbohydrate, and salt, to leave you, the consumer, feeling good and free of guilt! Our pizzas will undoubtedly help combat many current health issues but the two main conditions we are targeting are obesity and coeliac disease.


The NHS UK calculated a staggering 26% of our population is obese and this figure is expected to continue rising. Approximately 1 in 7 children are also obese. With comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke, healthy foods are becoming more and more desirable.


This condition affects 1 in 100 people (Coeliac UK; 2012) but very few are actually diagnosed. Symptoms such as pain, nausea, diarrhoea or constipation, and weight loss become evident when the patient ingests a protein called gluten. For this reason gluten-free products have great appeal to this group of people and have become extremely popular over the last decade.

The Lab Pizza has created 2 pizza bases (introduced in more depth in the ‘Products’ section) for the 2 major demographic groups mentioned. However, these bases would also greatly benefit those who suffer from numerous other chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart failure, not to mention people who generally like to stay in good physical shape.

The Lab Pizza strives to increase awareness of the gluten-free market, and improve the lives of people with gluten intolerances by providing delicious, nutritious baked pizza. Our gluten-free bases are baked in a dedicated gluten-free facility using our unique flour blend to assure delicious results.
